Motivate: With one word our prompt was to create a book, proceeding a poster and website. After much planning and many, many sketches, I present Looking on the Bright Side: A Guide to Optimism.
Process: Throughout the book, I found a new appreciation for the sketch phase. When something didn't seem like it was working correctly on a page, I found myself leaving Indesign and preferring pencil and paper to determine placement.
LET US BE HAPPY was something I decided on with the poster after the book was completed. The demanding message for something that should be automatically given was interesting, and the idea of "one step at a time", a process, made it more so.
Motion: The last phase of this project was to create a 15 second motion graphic that could push the idea of our books while also maintaining the impression of all of the different parts and phases of the book breakdown.
